Roof work stand for the maintenance of rail vehicles

Roof work stand with two work platforms for the maintenance of diesel railcars in existing buildings. Powder-coated steel construction, the movable components are made of aluminium. Total length of 54 metres, consisting of 6 modules of 9 metres each, individual modules are equipped with additional storage areas for materials and tools. All modules are equipped with electrically movable extensions for contour adjustment with gap dimension "0". The extensions can be moved individually, the extension travel is 50cm. The extensions are equipped with electronically monitored collision protection to prevent damage to the rail vehicles. The position of the platforms is indicated at both ends of the roof work stand by a signalling system / traffic light. An intelligent railing system consisting of fixed and plug-in components ensures the necessary fall protection in any operating condition. Equipped with variable guardrails between the work platforms, the roof work platform can be used for rail vehicles of different lengths. An electronic control system with restrictive user regulation, including monitoring of the crane and extraction system, prevents unauthorised access and operating errors.

Access to the roof work platform is via a central staircase at the head end with a self-closing safety door. Attached emergency ladders serve as additional escape routes.

The roof work stand is equipped with a crane (1 tonne load capacity) and the supporting structure for an exhaust extraction system.
